Jeana Neal Borman
About
Jeana Neal Borman serves as the collaborative artist of piano, staff accompanist, and vocal coach for the music department at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. She is a highly accomplished pianist and vocal coach with over 20 years of professional experience in music education and performance. Borman collaborates extensively with students and faculty on vocal and instrumental recitals, serves as the accompanist for the acclaimed A Cappella Choir and College Singers, and provides specialized coaching in the vocal studio with a focus on artistic interpretation and technical excellence. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Emory and Henry College and holds a Master of Music degree from Illinois State University, where she was winner of the annual Concerto Competition and performed with the Illinois State University Symphony. Her professional background includes serving as music director and accompanist for the education division of Opera Carolina for 10 seasons, music director and accompanist for Central Piedmont Community College theatre productions, and performances as a keyboard musician for Broadway touring productions including 'Hairspray,' 'Mamma Mia!,' and 'The King and I.' She has also served as a ballet accompanist for the North Carolina Dance Theatre and Chautauqua School of Ballet, and currently serves as music director at Hills Chapel United Methodist Church.
