About
Jean Danton is a soprano, Equity Actor, and versatile performer who has performed throughout the United States and Europe in oratorio, opera, recitals, musicals, and on the concert stage. Described by the Providence Journal as A stunning soprano, Jean brings extensive performance experience including debut performances at Carnegie Hall with the Masterwork Chorus and Lincoln Centers Avery Fisher Hall with the National Chorale, both performing Handels Messiah. She has performed under renowned conductors including Keith Lockhart, Christopher Hogwood, and Helmuth Rilling. Jean currently serves as Voice Faculty at Boston College, Salem State University, and New England Conservatorys School of Continuing Education (SCE) and Preparatory School (PREP), where she co-directs the Opera Workshop and Musical Theatre Workshop courses. She maintains a private studio in Malden, Massachusetts. Jean welcomes singers of all levels and specializes in developing healthy vocal technique while teaching across classical, musical theatre, contemporary, and jazz styles with emphasis on performance experience and complete artistry.
