Jayne West
About
Jayne West is an accomplished soprano and voice instructor at the Longy School of Music of Bard College. She also teaches at New England Conservatory Prep and Continuing Education Departments, and serves as Community Connections Coordinator for Emmanuel Music. Ms. West is a past finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and a winner of the Oratorio Society of New York Competition. As a soloist, she has performed with many of the country's leading orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Orchestra of St. Luke, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and Boston Symphony Orchestra, appearing at prestigious venues such as Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Tanglewood Main Stage, and Seiji Ozawa Hall. She has collaborated with renowned choreographer Mark Morris Dance Group and performed in major operatic productions including Craig Smith's rendition of Le Nozze di Figaro. Her extensive performance history demonstrates her versatility and artistic excellence across multiple genres and styles.
