Jay Rozendaal
About
Jay Rozendaal is a Senior Instructor of Voice at Western Washington University, where he has served on the voice faculty since 2006. His work centers on operatic direction and vocal instruction, having directed numerous university opera productions at WWU. He has been a member of the music staff at Seattle Opera since 1991, serving as coach-accompanist for dozens of productions. Rozendaal has performed extensively as a collaborative pianist in chamber and recital settings throughout the Pacific Northwest. In addition to his musical career, he serves as an Episcopal priest. He brings impressive breadth of operatic experience to Western Washington University voice program, working alongside other faculty members to provide comprehensive training for aspiring singers.
Education & Qualifications
Master of Music from Cleveland Institute of Music, Bachelor of Music from Westminster Choir College, two degrees in theology from General Theological Seminary
