Janine Magin
About
Janine Magin is an accomplished music educator and vocal instructor at Baton Rouge Music Studios with a strong foundation in classical vocal training and music education. She holds an Undergraduate degree in Music Education from the prestigious Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and a Master's Degree in Music Education with a voice concentration from Louisiana State University. Her career began as a general music educator in New York State public schools for two years, where she provided private voice lessons to students while teaching classroom music. She is a Carnegie Hall performer and has toured extensively throughout Europe with the Northeast Honors Choir. She served as a four-year member of the New York State Youth Chorale, gaining valuable experience in ensemble singing and vocal development. Currently, she teaches general and music fundamentals at Spanish Lake Primary School in Geismar, Louisiana, while maintaining a private voice studio at Baton Rouge Music Studios. Her teaching approach emphasizes classical vocal technique, foundational music education principles, and developing each student's individual vocal potential through personalized instruction.
