Dr. Jamie Van Eyck is Associate Professor of Voice and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Baylor University, where she holds the Charles W. Evans Chair in Voice and serves as Director of the Division of Vocal Studies. A mezzo-soprano with an active international performance career, she has been called "eloquent and exquisite" by the New York Times. She has performed as a soloist with many of the nation's top orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, and Utah Symphony. She has sung leading roles with Boston Lyric Opera, Arizona Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Austin Opera, Utah Opera, Madison Opera, Wolf Trap Opera Company, and Opera Theater of Saint Louis. She has been featured at renowned festivals including Tanglewood Music Festival, Santa Fe Opera, Ojai Festival, and the Bard Music Festival. Dr. Van Eyck holds a DMA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MM from New England Conservatory of Music. She was the winner of Baylor's 2023 Outstanding Faculty Award for tenured teaching. Her students have been winners of prestigious national vocal competitions and vocal scholarship winners at top universities and conservatories across the country.
