James Wigginton
About
James Wigginton is an Instructor of Commercial Voice at Belmont University's College of Music and Performing Arts, where he has been a professor of commercial (pop) music for over 20 years. He is the founder and director of Vocal Edge, a comprehensive vocal training system for professional vocalists. As a vocal coach, he has trained numerous nationally known commercial and classical vocal artists including Luke Combs, Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, Brett Eldridge, Keith Urban, Jessica Andrews, and many others. Mr. Wigginton has extensive experience in the recording industry, providing background vocals and session work for major artists and labels. At Belmont, he directs and produces the top auditioned Pop/Rock ensemble PHNX (Phoenix), serves as host for Belmont's most prestigious shows including Christmas at Belmont and the Annual President's Concert, and teaches entrepreneurship courses in the music business program. He is the author of The Singers' Guide to Greatness and co-author of Singing Success with renowned vocal coach Brett Manning. Mr. Wigginton has completed over 50 international tours presenting master classes, concerts, and studio coaching sessions worldwide.
