About
Jacob Bleything is a dedicated voice teacher in Lawrence, Kansas, and a recent graduate of Kansas State University's vocal music program, where he studied under Dr. Reginald Pittman, the Regional Governor of the West Central Region of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and head of the voice division at KSU. With a background in volunteer work at Eisenhower Middle School in Manhattan, Kansas, and experience observing advanced choral programs at Buhler High School, Jacob has cultivated a passion for vocal education and student development. He currently serves as a teaching assistant at Lawrence High School, bringing his expertise to young singers. Jacob teaches using the Italian Bel Canto school of vocal thought, which emphasizes vocal hygiene and longevity by focusing on supporting vocal sound using proper breath support. His number one goal is to create an environment that is fun, safe, engaging, and conducive to excellent vocal progress, helping students of all ages and abilities develop their unique voices and musical confidence.
