Isabelle Lacroix
About
Isabelle Lacroix is a talented soprano and voice teacher based in Ottawa. She holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Ottawa, where she completed her graduate studies under experienced faculty mentorship. Isabelle has an extensive professional performance background in opera and concert music, having performed numerous leading and supporting roles with prestigious Ottawa opera companies. As a member of Opera Lyra Ottawa's former Young Artist Program, she performed the role of Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, the title role in Rossini's Cinderella, the Queen of the Night in Mozart's Magic Flute, Annina in Verdi's La Traviata, Ines in Verdi's Il Trovatore, and Frasquita in Bizet's Carmen. She has also performed Almirena in Handel's Rinaldo with OperOttawa. Her concert repertoire includes major works such as Handel's Messiah with both CAMMAC and OperOttawa, Bruckner's Mass in F Minor, Mendelssohn's Lobgesang, Bach's Cantata BWV 140, Mozart's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Brahms' A German Requiem. She has performed in major local music festivals and concert series. Isabelle currently teaches voice at The Bytown School of Singing, where she shares her passion for classical vocal training and helps students develop proper technique and musical interpretation.
