Irene Reising-Waller

Irene Reising-Waller is a coloratura soprano and voice teacher based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Music (Voice) from Wittenberg University in 2017, where she also completed four years of piano study under Dr. Christopher Durrenberger. Since 2017, Irene has been teaching private voice and piano instruction to students of all ages and levels. Her professional performance career spans multiple opera companies throughout the region, including Cincinnati Opera, Opera Columbus, Toledo Opera, and six other regional opera companies, where she has performed numerous roles across the classical repertoire. She was honored as a First Place winner at the 2021 Charleston International Winter Music Competition. Irene's teaching philosophy emphasizes three core areas: developing proper vocal technique, selecting repertoire suited to each student's unique voice, and building student confidence in both performance and musical expression. Since 2012, she has studied voice with Paul McCready at Cincinnati Music Academy, bringing deep knowledge of healthy technique to all her instruction. Her warm, supportive approach creates an encouraging environment where singers can develop their artistry while maintaining vocal health.
