Hilerie Klein Rensi is the Founder and Director of Higher Voice Studio, the most sought-after music school in the regional Pittsburgh Area, and an accomplished performer with extensive operatic and educational experience. Beginning her musical training at age six with private voice and piano lessons, she developed her passion for music through rigorous training including nine summers at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and graduation from the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, where she achieved a remarkable distinction as the only woman in the center's history to perform four consecutive lead operetta roles. She was honored with the 'Best Female Principle Over 25 Years of Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas' Award, recognizing her exceptional artistry. Hilerie earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance in three years from Cleveland Institute of Music and a Master of Music degree from Binghamton University in collaboration with Tri-Cities Opera. Her professional performance career has taken her across the United States, performing over 50 operatic roles and oratorio works with prestigious organizations including Spoleto Festival USA, Tri-Cities Opera, Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, Pittsburgh Opera Theatre Summerfest, and Lake George Opera. In 2011, she founded Higher Voice Studio, which has grown into an award-winning center. In 2017, the studio completed a major renovation of a 6000 square foot building in downtown Carnegie, featuring nine teaching studios, three lobbies, a classroom, and a performance venue. Under her leadership, Higher Voice Studio has become known for exceptional instruction and student success, with students gaining acceptance to prestigious music conservatories including the Curtis Institute, Eastman School of Music, Juilliard, and Manhattan School of Music.
