Heidi Skok is an accomplished voice teacher and professional vocalist based in the Cleveland Heights area with over 25 years of teaching experience. A 12-year veteran of the Metropolitan Opera, Skok brings extensive performance expertise and vocal development knowledge to her private instruction. She is the owner and master vocal instructor at Skokstudio Vocal Instruction LLC, where she has helped hundreds of singers develop and refine their voices across multiple genres. Skok specializes in identifying and developing singers' natural vocal ranges and has trained singers across classical, pop, jazz, and contemporary styles. Her proprietary REST Vocal Technique emphasizes correct vocal mechanics, chest-voice foundation, and healthy singing across all genres. Skok is known for her compassionate, supportive instruction that builds both technical skill and singer mindset and motivation. Her training background includes professional classical vocal preparation, and she has successfully transitioned singers across different vocal ranges and styles throughout her career.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University. Artists Diploma from Duquesne University. Professional training with world-class voice instructors. Extended performance experience as a mezzo-soprano and contralto vocalist with the Metropolitan Opera from 1991-2003.
