About
Hannah Cayem is an accomplished soprano and experienced voice instructor at The Academy of Music in Norfolk, Virginia. A classically trained vocalist born and raised in Massachusetts, she earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the Ithaca College School of Music with summa cum laude honors. She is a certified K-12 music educator and has taught in various educational settings including public schools, children's choirs, private lessons, and music nonprofits. Currently, she serves as a voice instructor and leader of the PreZuki early childhood music program at the Academy of Music, where she opened her voice studio in 2023. Cayem is pursuing her Master of Arts in Vocal Performance at George Mason University and is training under Professor Patricia Miller as a Peterson Vocal Studies Artist-Scholar. Her vocal training includes studies with the esteemed Dr. Ivy Walz and instruction from prestigious opera programs including the Wesley Balk Opera-Music Theater Institute and Opera Theatre of the Rockies. Recent operatic roles include Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni and performances with Mason Opera and Varna International, demonstrating her professional-level performance credentials.
