Dr. Gustavo Castro-Ramirez is a Vocal Coach, Opera Music Director, and Instructor of Undergraduate Lyric Diction at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance. As an accomplished collaborative pianist and vocal coach, he has performed extensive repertoire with singers and instrumentalists, with performances across Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Nicaragua, and throughout the United States. His professional experience includes collaboration with numerous opera companies including Astoria Music Festival in Oregon, Butler Opera Center in Texas, Cascadia Chamber Opera in Oregon, Florida State Opera, Eugene Opera, Opera Bend in Oregon, and Opera Nova in Costa Rica. Dr. Castro has performed in prestigious venues and continues to support operatic productions and vocal training at the university level. With his multilingual background and extensive experience in lyric diction across multiple languages, he provides comprehensive vocal coaching and accompaniment for both classical and contemporary vocal music.
