Gregory Sojka
About
Gregory Sojka is a Teaching Associate of Voice at Drake University and Music Director of Drake Opera Theatre. A native Iowan and Drake University alumnus, he is a baritone and conductor with a distinguished career in the Pacific Northwest as a performer, instructor, and arts administrator. His professional roles include performances with Seattle and Tacoma Operas, oratorio work with various orchestras and choirs, featured soloist appearances with the Seattle Men's Chorus, and served as chorus master for Eugene Opera in productions of Barber of Seville, Beatrice et Benedict, and Lucia di Lammermoor. His teaching experience spans multiple institutions including Pacific Lutheran University, University of Oregon, Stephens College, University of Missouri-Columbia, Central College, and Grinnell College.
