Grayson Nesbitt
About
Grayson Nesbitt is a talented lyric tenor and voice teacher based in Ottawa. A young professional from the National Capital Region, Grayson completed his formal voice training at the University of Ottawa under the mentorship of Laurence Ewashko and was awarded the prestigious Anna-Maria Brancker Schubert Award for excellence in Schubert lied performance in his third year of study. He completed his Master of Music degree in Music Literature and Vocal Performance from the University of Western Ontario in 2018. Since 2018, Grayson has been a faculty member at The Bytown School of Singing, where he finds immense joy in sharing the craft of healthy, expressive singing with students of varying ages and skill levels. He specializes in teaching pop, opera, and classical styles. As a performer, Grayson has been a Choral Scholar at St. John's Anglican Church since Spring 2015 and has performed operatic roles including Goro in Madama Butterfly, Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance, and Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore. He has also performed with Ewashko Singers, showcasing works by contemporary Canadian composers.
