Gina Vandegrift

About

Gina Vandegrift is an accomplished voice and stage presence instructor at Baton Rouge Music Studios with 23 years of experience in the performing arts as both a performer and educator. She began her extensive career as a singer and dancer at Libertyland, performing in several live shows daily. As a member of the band Street Scene, she auditioned for the television show Star Search, earning the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to compete in the $100,000 semi-finals competition. During her time in Memphis, Tennessee, while a member of the band MVP, she had the honor of performing with renowned recording artists Wendy Moten and Kevin Paige, serving as lead vocalist for several other bands as well. She has traveled to Atlantic City where she performed as a singer/dancer in the live show Legends in Concert, and taught at multiple studios in the surrounding areas. Locally in Baton Rouge, she performs with the bands Artemis and Jubilation, and was featured in the Playmakers production of Annie, where she played the lead role of Lilly. Her extensive performance and teaching experience brings a wealth of practical knowledge and stage expertise to her role as a voice instructor at Baton Rouge Music Studios.
