Gerald Martin Moore is an internationally renowned voice and opera pedagogue serving as Professor in the Practice of Voice and Director of Yale Opera at Yale School of Music. He has served as a vocal consultant for prestigious opera companies including Glyndebourne Festival Opera, La Scala, and Opéra National de Paris. Moore previously served as artistic associate of Carnegie Halls SongStudio program and has taught at the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Program and Curtis Institute of Music. His teaching philosophy emphasizes fostering healthy vocal technique based on 19th century masters and current voice science. He is a regular host of the Metropolitan Opera Quiz and frequent judge for prestigious vocal competitions.
