Geneil Perkins
About
Dr. Geneil Perkins is Lecturer of Voice at Columbus State University's Joyce & Henry Schwob School of Music, where she teaches classical and musical theatre voice as well as courses in lyric diction. She holds a Doctorate of Music from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, a Master of Music from Brigham Young University, and a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Southern Utah University. Her academic interests include vocology, vocal health and development, as well as vocal fach. Dr. Perkins taught as an associate instructor of voice during her doctoral studies and has performed widely in opera, concert and choral settings. Before joining Columbus State University, she gained extensive teaching and performance experience that prepared her for her current role as a dedicated voice instructor focused on developing healthy vocal technique and artistry in her students.
