Garrett Thomas is a multi-genre vocalist, media producer, vernacular musician, composer, educator, and entrepreneur on the faculty at East Tennessee State University. He specializes in working with singer-songwriters and commercial music singers across pop, alternative, rock, country, and metal genres. With 15 years of diverse performance experience, Garrett brings practical, industry-focused training to his students. He believes in directly preparing his students for the work environment, utilizing audio recording technology to bring his 8 years of professional audio production experience into the applied lesson experience. Garrett has been a featured recording artist for Beat Chamber Records, where he continues to produce and record music for nearly a decade, having released multiple studio projects including singles, EPs, and a full album. He has also composed music for sync licensing and collaborated on tracks with artists from New York to Nashville. His vernacular and cultivated music experiences span opera, musical theatre, art song, choral, gospel, spiritual, folk oratorio, jazz, pop, rock, country, and metal.
