Forrest Bunter
About
Forrest Bunter is Chair of the Voice Department at The Music Academy of North Carolina in Greensboro. He brings both extensive performance experience and dedicated teaching expertise to his studio. Forrest holds a Master of Music (MM) in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Voice from Missouri Southern State University. As a singer, he is known for bringing expressive drama to the stage and concert hall with his voice. Forrest currently sings with the North Carolina Opera Chorus, which he joined in 2022. He has performed with the Chancel Choir at First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, where he featured in solo performances in Fauré Requiem and Handel Messiah. As a Choral Scholar with Bach Akademie Charlotte, Forrest participated in the early music ensemble for their 2021 and 2022 seasons. His teaching philosophy focuses on supporting the individual goals of each student while providing a foundation for healthy singing technique. Forrest works with students of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop both technical proficiency and artistic expression through focused vocal pedagogy.
