Emily Herring is a professional singer, actor, and vocal coach based in Fairhope, Alabama. She has performed in Broadway National Tours including Kiss Me Kate (Kate), Ragtime (Mother), and The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess, National Theatre Awards Nominee for Best Actress). Internationally, Emily has been a featured soloist with the Alabama Winds and Georgia Winds on their 2016 tour of Italy, and was a featured singer/dancer in The Magic of Musicals in Athens, Greece. As a voice teacher, Emily has served as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at the University of Alabama's Department of Theatre and Dance, The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), The University of Montevallo, Birmingham Southern, and most recently at the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York. Growing up in Mobile, she started piano at age 6 and began formal voice lessons at age 11 with Betty Rogers at the University of South Alabama. Emily offers voice lessons in all styles and audition coaching at her studio in Fairhope and via FaceTime/Zoom.
