About
Emily is the founder and operator of Colorado Voice Studios with four locations across Colorado including Denver, Grand Junction, Fort Collins, and Loveland. With over 12 years of experience coaching performers throughout the country, Emily has become a leading vocal instructor specializing in contemporary commercial music styles. She completed comprehensive Voice Teacher and Advanced Teacher Trainings with Justin Stoney at New York Vocal Coaching and regularly attends workshops focused on vocal health and voice science. As a performer, Emily spent the first 6 years of her career working in regional musical theatre in New York as well as throughout Colorado. For the last 10 years, she has been the lead singer of three bands that have performed across the country, with favorite performances including opening for Victor Wooten and Tinsley Ellis, and a special event at Mile High Stadium. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes vocal styling and versatility, helping students grow in confidence and deeply know their voices. She has a particular commitment to supporting women singers, especially those previously discouraged from pursuing music. Her mission centers on empowering artists to achieve their full vocal potential. Emily has served as Vocal Director for several children's theatrical productions including Matilda, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, 13 The Musical, and High School Musical, receiving the National Youth Arts Award for Outstanding Musical Direction for her work on Grease.
