Elliot Madore
About
Elliot Madore is a Grammy Award-winning Canadian lyric baritone and Associate Professor of Voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). One of the most sought-after accomplished singers of his generation, he is praised by The New York Times for his "robust singing and take-no-prisoners acting" and by Opera News for his "exquisite vocal beauty." At age 22, he won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2010. He has since performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Zรผrich Opera House, San Francisco Opera, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto, and the Dutch National Opera. Madore is a highly-acclaimed teacher of voice and opera, mentoring students at both CCM and Curtis Institute of Music. He gives weekly private lessons while maintaining an active international performance career.
Education & Qualifications
Master of Music degree in Opera from Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia; Bachelor of Music degree in Voice from Curtis Institute of Music. Graduated from Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. Studied with Marlena Malas at Curtis.
