Ellen Robinson
About
Ellen Robinson is a jazz vocalist, voice teacher, and choral director with over 38 years of experience teaching singing and working with vocalists and speakers in the Bay Area of Northern California. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in voice and piano from Ithaca College, NY, and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). Ellen teaches a variety of vocal styles including jazz, pop, musical theater, and singer-songwriter genres. She is recognized as one of the best vocal coaches in the Bay Area and has been awarded the prestigious Jefferson Award for her community service through music. Ellen is the founder and director of the Anything Goes Chorus in San Francisco and Oakland, community choruses for men and women that she established in 1980. Her extensive performance background, combined with decades of pedagogical experience, provides students with expert guidance for developing both technical mastery and artistic expression across multiple genres.
