About
Elleka Okerstrom-Drew is an accomplished soprano currently pursuing doctoral studies in voice at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, one of the premier voice training programs in the United States, where she studies with renowned vocal pedagogue Peter Volpe. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Jacobs School of Music and earned her undergraduate degree with honors from DePauw University. Elleka is an accomplished performer with experience in operatic and classical vocal repertoire, having performed in major productions including Mozartâs Die Zauberflöte (as Papagena), Handelâs Alcina (as Morgana), and Benjamin Brittenâs Peter Grimes. She has also performed with the prestigious Lyric Opera of Kansas City and the chorus of Kansas City opera productions. During her studies, Elleka was a semifinalist in the National Orpheus Vocal Competition and a finalist in the Opera Guild of Dayton Vocal Competition, earning multiple first-place finishes in the Indiana State National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition. She is bilingual in English and specializes in classical opera, art song, and vocal technique training for aspiring professional singers. Elleka combines her extensive performance experience with dedicated pedagogy training to provide high-quality voice instruction.
