Elizabeth Pacheco Rose is a visiting professor of voice at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A lyric soprano possessing an alluring stage presence with dramatic flexibility, she commands a broad operatic and concert repertoire spanning from baroque to contemporary works. Her notable operatic roles include Blanche in Dialogues des Carmélites, Roselinde in Die Fledermaus, Mimì in La Bohème, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Mélisande in Pelléas et Mélisande, and Abigail in The Crucible. Recent performances have featured leading roles in works by Salieri and Luna, as well as compositions by Villa-Lobos performed with regional orchestras. Dr. Rose completed her doctoral studies at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana, and Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She studied and performed throughout Europe, including an extended period of study and performance in Italy, bringing international experience to her teaching. A Northern Virginia native, she resides in Winston-Salem with her family and is dedicated to fostering vocal excellence in her students.
