Elizabeth Koontz is a professional soprano, singer-songwriter, and voice and piano teacher based in Cincinnati, Ohio. After earning her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University, she continued her studies to receive her Master of Music degree in Voice from Indiana University. During her studies at Indiana University, she performed professionally with opera houses and orchestras across the United States, establishing herself as an accomplished performing artist. Elizabeth has been teaching voice and piano to adults and children of all ages and abilities for over 15 years, bringing both professional performance experience and dedicated pedagogical training to her studio. Her Elizabeth Koontz Music Studio operates from her home studio in Mariemont, serving the greater Cincinnati area. Elizabeth combines her own international performance background with an understanding of the technical and artistic demands facing modern singers. Her teaching approach emphasizes healthy vocal technique, musicianship, and helping students discover their authentic artistic voice. She works with singers interested in classical repertoire, opera, art song, and contemporary styles. Elizabeth creates a supportive, encouraging environment where her students develop confidence and skill while maintaining the health and longevity of their voices.
