Dr. Stacie Rossow
About
Dr. Stacie Rossow is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of Choral and Vocal Studies at Florida Atlantic University, where she teaches conducting, voice, literature, and research methods. She serves as the Associate Chair of the Department of Music and conducts the University Women's Chorus. Dr. Rossow holds a Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University, a Master's degree from Florida Atlantic University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Miami. Her specialization focuses on Irish choral music, and her doctoral thesis, entitled The Choral Music of Irish Composer Michael McGlynn, represents the first comprehensive study of McGlynn's work and is housed in the Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin. She has presented her research at national conferences hosted by the National Association for Music Education and the National Collegiate Choral Organization. Dr. Rossow served as faculty at the Anúna Summer School in Dublin across four sessions and worked as studio conductor for four Anúna recordings. In recognition of her excellence in leadership, Dr. Rossow received the 2015 Faculty Talon Award from Florida Atlantic University.
