Dr. Scott Quant
About
Dr. Scott Quant is a Senior Professor of Music and Coordinator of the Music Education program at Oral Roberts University. An active recitalist, he performs art songs by composers including Poulenc, Duparc, and Brahms, with notable performances including operatic roles and collaborations with regional orchestras and choruses throughout the Midwest. He earned his Bachelor's in Music Education from Oral Roberts University, his Master of Music Education from the Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY) where he studied voice with Seth McCoy, and his Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Arizona. Dr. Quant brings extensive classroom experience, having served as an elementary music specialist, middle school band/choir director, and faculty member at Quincy University and Northwest Missouri State University, where he taught Music Appreciation, Voice, and Elementary Music courses.
