Dr. Jamison Walker is an Associate Professor of Voice and Voice Area Coordinator at James Madison University's School of Music in Harrisonburg, Virginia. A versatile and accomplished vocalist with a commanding vocal range and an extensive repertoire spanning opera, oratorio, musical theater, and pops, Dr. Walker has performed in recital, opera, symphonic, and academic settings nationally and internationally. His recent operatic roles include Rodolfo and Luigi in Puccini works, Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito, and leading roles in Pagliacci, Faust, and Romeo et Juliette. Dr. Walker's oratorio and concert performances showcase diverse classical repertoire including works by Beethoven, Bach, Rossini, and Bruckner. Prior to his music career, he served as a Counterintelligence Agent and soloist in the U.S. Army Bands, performing at Fort Gordon. Since joining JMU's faculty in 2018, Dr. Walker has established himself as both a renowned performer and an experienced pedagogue, in demand as a singer, educator, and clinician. He is recognized for his commitment to excellence in vocal training and mentoring the next generation of singers.
