Dr. Carolina Botero is an accomplished Master Teacher with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Washington. She earned her Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and completed her undergraduate studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, Dr. Botero studied piano and voice for over a decade and performed numerous times for the Amira De La Rosa Opera House in her native city. As a professional singer and voice instructor with years of comprehensive experience, Dr. Botero is dedicated to helping her students develop strong technical vocal skills while building confidence and artistic expression. She teaches both voice and piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities, whether they are beginning singers or advanced performers seeking to refine their craft. A multilingual educator, Dr. Botero speaks fluently in Italian, Spanish, and English, making her accessible to diverse student populations. Her passion for teaching and commitment to student success has made her a valued instructor in the Maryland area. In addition to her private teaching studio, Dr. Botero teaches voice and piano at the Sloan School of Music in Frederick and Hagerstown, Maryland, bringing her international expertise and professional performance background to serve the greater Frederick community.
