Dr. Bridgid Eversole
About
Dr. Bridgid Eversole is an Instructor of Voice at James Madison University's School of Music in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and also maintains a faculty position at the University of Virginia. As a soprano, she has been described by The Washington Post as appearing and sounding 'stunning.' Her operatic career spans major roles in works by Mozart, Handel, Verdi, Monteverdi, and Blitzstein, as well as creating original roles in contemporary compositions. Beyond opera, Eversole performs as a concert soloist in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Constitution Hall, and The Kennedy Center, specializing in baroque and classical repertoire. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. In addition to her teaching responsibilities at JMU and UVA, Dr. Eversole serves as Director of Education at Charlottesville Opera, contributing significantly to music education and community engagement. Her dual academic appointments and leadership role in an opera company demonstrate her commitment to both pedagogical excellence and professional artistic achievement.
