Doug Broome is an accomplished voice instructor with over 35 years of experience teaching singing at all levels, from beginning students through college-level voice performance. He specializes in vocal technique and development, with a particular focus on the classical Italian Bel Canto style. Doug holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern Mississippi (Church Music) and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa (Vocal and Opera Theatre Performance). His extensive education in both music and vocal performance provides him with deep expertise in helping singers develop proper technique, breath control, and artistic expression. At Performance WorX in Hattiesburg, Doug teaches voice lessons with individualized attention tailored to each student's needs and goals. With his combination of formal training and decades of practical teaching experience, Doug is dedicated to helping singers of all ages and abilities achieve their vocal potential.
