Donnie Ray Albert

Donnie Ray Albert is a Distinguished Senior Lecturer in Voice at the University of Texas at Austin's Butler School of Music. A celebrated baritone with 50 years of distinguished operatic career spanning performances at major opera companies including the Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and numerous international venues. Albert has performed leading roles in opera repertoire from Mozart to contemporary works and has been featured in Grammy Award-winning recordings on RCA and EMI labels. He is a resident artist with the Center for Black Music Research at Columbia College Chicago. As an educator, Albert brings decades of performance experience to developing the next generation of classical singers and opera performers.
