Diane Alexander is an acclaimed soprano and voice coach with over thirty years of stage experience in opera, classical music, Broadway, and symphonic performance. With a distinguished career performing at major opera companies including Washington National Opera, Houston Grand Opera, San Diego Opera, New Orleans Opera, and Central City Opera, Diane brings exceptional artistry and professional expertise to her vocal instruction. Her versatility and talent were recognized by renowned Broadway director Hal Prince, who cast her as Carlotta in 'The Phantom of the Opera.' Diane earned her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Rhode Island College, where she was recognized as an Outstanding Alumna. Throughout her career, she has performed with prestigious orchestras and in major productions across North America. Beyond performance, Diane is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring emerging singers. She holds certification as a Professional Life Coach (CPC), bringing holistic understanding to vocal instruction. Her teaching approach combines proper vocal technique, audition preparation, performance coaching, and personal development guidance. Diane has performed with Arizona Opera in multiple productions including 'The Merry Widow,' establishing strong connections to the Arizona music community. She is also a Metropolitan Opera National Finalist and recipient of the Sullivan Foundation Career Grant and Bel Canto Scholarship in Siena, Italy. As a voice coach, Diane helps students develop vocal strength, emotional expression, and professional performance skills. She works with singers across classical, opera, musical theater, and contemporary styles, tailoring her instruction to each student's goals and abilities.
