Diana Esparza
About
Diana Esparza is a soprano and voice instructor at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she has taught since 2016. She instructs Applied Voice, Class Voice, and Diction courses in Italian, Spanish, Latin, English, German, and French. Esparza earned both her Bachelor's in Music Education and Master's in Vocal Performance from the University of Texas at El Paso. She taught voice faculty at Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez for eight years, where she also instructed Opera Workshop and Choir, preparing choruses for productions including Madama Butterfly, La traviata, and L'elisir d'amore. Prior to her university work, Esparza taught choir at Henderson Middle School in El Paso for seven years, coordinating Fine Arts Concerts. She has performed operatic, musical theater, and zarzuela productions across El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, with recitals and operatic roles in Germany and jazz performances at Festival Internacional Cervantino. Esparza served as background vocals director for Sarah Brightman's concert at Festival Internacional Chihuahua and maintains a private voice studio in Ciudad Juárez.
