Deborah Ellen is a voice teacher and vocal coach based in Simi Valley, California, with 26 years of teaching experience. She began her performance career at age seven in community theatre, winning talent competitions and performing in multiple choirs and quartets throughout her youth. After four years with a San Diego theatre company performing original musicals, she attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning her Bachelor's degree, graduating Cum Laude. Deborah has performed professionally on stage and in studio as both a solo artist and in trio groups, working as a singer and actor in television. She is a published songwriter for film and television, co-owner of PTP Music publishing company, and has collaborated with notable composers including Marco Beltrami, David Malloy, and Trey Bruce. She co-wrote and recorded a children's album titled 'Mr. Blue Oven Mitt.' After experiencing vocal damage and nodules during her Los Angeles years, Deborah underwent specialized vocal technique training, giving her deep insight into the emotional and technical challenges singers face. Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that 'The Voice is a musical instrument. Anyone can learn to play it!'

Bachelor's degree from University of California, Santa Barbara (Cum Laude). Specialized vocal technique training in vocal rehabilitation.
