About
Davin Youngs is a virtual voice coach based in Chicago, Illinois specializing in vocal liberation and contemporary singing styles. He graduated from the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory of Music with degrees in both Vocal Performance and Musicology, studying under renowned pedagogue Richard Miller. After establishing a professional singing career and developing his teaching practice, Youngs trained extensively with Jeanie LoVetri in Somatic Voicework The LoVetri Method, which transformed his approach to voice coaching. This comprehensive training combines functional vocal technique with holistic wellness practices. Youngs is certified in Somatic Voicework, myofascial release training for neck, voice and swallowing disorders, and is a Reiki Level II practitioner. He has been featured as a teacher on the Insight Timer meditation app. Beyond one-on-one voice coaching, Youngs founded Chicago Circle Singing, a community singing initiative, and created VOXUS, an innovative corporate team building experience that utilizes improvisation and the voice, which he's offered for executives at major corporations including Coca-Cola, Chicago Public Schools, and the Office of the Mayor of Chicago. He also hosts the popular podcast Free Your Voice, Free Your Life and works as a sound healing artist.
