David Templeton

David Templeton is an Associate Professor of Voice at the College of Charleston. A recognized baritone with extensive opera experience across North America and international venues, critics have praised his performances. Opera Magazine noted he displays a strong voice and a convincing air of authority, while The Columbus Dispatch observed that Templeton is poised to emerge as one of the next great American baritones. He has performed leading roles with numerous opera companies including Opera Columbus, Nevada Opera, Hawaii Opera, Winnipeg Opera, Edmonton Opera, Toledo Opera, and Connecticut Grand Opera. Templeton teaches courses in Phonetics for Singers, Repertory Class for Voice, Opera Literature, Applied Music for Voice, and Vocal Pedagogy.
