Dallas Aksoy

Dallas Aksoy is Lecturer and Opera Theatre Director at Utah State University's Department of Music. She is passionate about creating beauty in the world through theatrical production, collaborative pianism, and teaching. Ms. Aksoy serves as Opera Theatre Director at USU and works regularly with Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre as a music director and collaborative pianist. She is a versatile collaborative pianist and opera/musical theatre director with additional expertise on accordion, harpsichord, and music theatre keyboard programming. Her recent productions at USU include directing various operas and musicals, with performances including The Rape of Lucretia by Benjamin Britten, Ravel's L'Enfant et les sortilèges, and Dvořák's Rusalka. She emphasizes the highest standards of excellence and aims to provide opportunities to underserved populations through the arts.
