Dale Farmer
About
Dr. Dale Farmer is Adjunct Instructor in the Auburn University Department of Music, where he has directed the Auburn University Singers since fall 2006. The Auburn University Singers is the university's show choir and one of Auburn's greatest traditions, providing choral entertainment campus-wide and for schools, churches, civic clubs, and communities. The ensemble performs at national and international venues, producing two major productions each academic year. Dr. Farmer is a founding member of the Auburn University Singers who returned to direct the ensemble while completing his doctorate. He received all three of his degrees from Auburn University: DMA, MM, and BS. His teaching experience includes Music Appreciation, Music and Related Arts, and Music Skills courses, along with supervision of music education interns. He has also conducted the men's chorus. Dr. Farmer has taught middle, junior high, and high school choral music, music theory, music history, and drama in public schools in Americus and Tifton, Georgia. He serves as choral clinician, adjudicator, and curriculum consultant. His professional affiliations include Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the National Association for Music Education, and the American Choral Directors Association.
