Cynthia Perkins

About

Cynthia Perkins is an acclaimed Musical Theater Vocal Coach and Studio Teacher in Asheville, North Carolina. Her students are successful on Broadway, Off-Broadway, national tours, cabarets and clubs, cruises, and summer theater both nationally and internationally. With over 25 years of professional teaching experience, she has developed signature programs including 'Belting: From Birth to Broadway©' and 'Singer on Stage' which develops skills as a singer and actor. She taught in the Music and Theatre Arts Departments at Mars Hill College (1994-2009) and at the University of North Carolina at Asheville (1994-1997). Prior to that, she was vocal coach and musical director at Middle Tennessee State University. She specializes in helping students develop strong vocal foundations while preparing for auditions and professional performance.
