Corey Dalton Hart is a distinguished tenor and voice instructor at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where he teaches vocal performance and pedagogy. He also serves on the faculty of New England Conservatory (NEC) College and NEC Prep School. Hart holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from New England Conservatory, with doctoral research focused on the part songs of English Renaissance lutenist John Dowland. He is known for his musical versatility, engaging presence, and expressive textual interpretations. His teaching approach integrates bel canto methods with modern voice science, emphasizing breathing techniques, ear training, and body awareness work to develop efficient vocal production. As a performer, Hart has collaborated with leading Boston early music ensembles including Blue Heron, Skylark Ensemble, Handel and Haydn Society, Emmanuel Music, Boston Baroque, and Boston Camerata, among others.
