Colton Weiss
About
Colton Weiss (he/they) is a professional dialect coach, actor, and voice instructor based in Columbus, Ohio. Currently serving as a lecturer at The Ohio State University, Colton brings over 10 years of experience working on and off stage, ranging from Broadway-level musicals and classical opera to outdoor Shakespeare productions. He is a certified One Voice Practitioner with expertise in Knight-Thompson Speechwork (KTS) and specializes in voice and speech pedagogy for theatre. Colton has published and presented work with the Voice and Speech Review (VSR) and the Association for Theater in Higher Education (ATHE), and works extensively with local and regional theater companies throughout central Ohio.
Education & Qualifications
Master's degree (ALM/MFA) in Voice & Speech Pedagogy from Harvard University, American Repertory Theatre; Bachelor of Arts in Speech & Hearing Science and Integrated Performance Studies with a minor in Linguistics, Ohio State University (2015); Additional training at Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT)
