Cindy Dicken is an internationally acclaimed performer, educator, and clinician specializing in voice instruction and choral jazz coaching in Spokane, Washington. In 2022, she and her family relocated to Spokane from California, where she had established an impressive career spanning multiple decades. While in California, she served as adjunct faculty at prestigious institutions including Mt. San Antonio College, El Camino College, Glendale Community College, and Concordia University Irvine. Most notably, she taught at Santa Monica College for 12 years, where she directed vocal ensembles that earned two DownBeat Magazine Student Music Awards, prestigious recognition in jazz education. Her performance credits are extraordinarily extensive, including session singing on over 50 major films such as Spider-Man (1-3), Armageddon, Star Trek, Wall-E, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Ice Age. Currently, Cindy serves as Director of Choirs at North Idaho College while also offering voice instruction at Holy Names Music Center in Spokane. Her expertise spans jazz, choral music, vocal technique, and ensemble coaching. Cindy brings both a professional performer's understanding of vocal demands and an experienced educator's skill in developing student technique and artistry. Her background in film and commercial music, combined with academic choral experience, gives her a unique ability to teach singers across multiple genres and styles.
