Christopher Holmes
About
Christopher Holmes is Adjunct Faculty in the Vocal Division Classical at BYU School of Music. He has performed over 40 operatic roles with major companies including Austin Opera, Central City Opera, Eugene Opera, Opera Idaho, Phoenix Opera, and San Antonio Opera. As a full-lyric baritone, he has specialized in the Verdi repertoire, notably performing Iago, Rigoletto, Germont, and other principal roles. Recent performances include Don Giovanni at Painted Sky Opera. Holmes credits renowned pedagogue Richard Miller from his Oberlin studies and Italian coach Nicolas Giusti as major influences on his teaching approach. He spent two years living in central Italy, developing deep appreciation for Italian culture.
