About
Christopher Grundy is an operatic bass-baritone and voice teacher based in Stamford, Connecticut, serving the greater Fairfield County area including Danbury and surrounding communities. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University, a Master of Music in vocal performance from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Music in vocal performance from Indiana University's prestigious Jacobs School of Music. With over 20 years of experience as a singer and teacher, Christopher has performed as an operatic bass-baritone with orchestras and festivals across North America and Europe, taking on title roles in major operas and oratorios. He served as Associate Instructor of Voice and Graduate Opera Workshop at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and currently teaches on the Performing Arts Faculty at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Beyond his teaching and performance career, Christopher is deeply involved in his community, serving as Director of Music at the New Haven Unitarian Society and as a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. His extensive academic training at both Yale and Indiana University, combined with his professional performance experience in major opera houses and concert halls, provides students with comprehensive instruction in vocal technique, performance practice, and musical interpretation across operatic and concert repertoire.
