Christine Boone is Associate Professor of Music at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a lyric soprano with an active performance career. She has remained active as a professional soloist in major classical works including Haydn's Creation, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Handel's Messiah. She has performed as a featured soloist in the Asheville Amadeus Festival and other prestigious venues. As an educator, she brings both classical vocal expertise and innovative musicological perspectives to her students. Her research interests encompass popular music, including work on musical mashups, AI, and the Beatles, bringing contemporary relevance to classical vocal training. She teaches voice and music theory courses, helping students develop comprehensive musicianship and performance excellence.
