Chris Titko is an accomplished voice instructor and sacred music specialist with over 35 years of dedicated teaching experience. He maintains a private voice studio at The Academy of Music in Norfolk, Virginia, where he has prepared students for local and regional auditions and competitions since 1988. His students have advanced to prestigious institutions including Loyola University, University of New Orleans, North Carolina School of the Arts, Westminster Choir College, William and Mary College, University of South Florida, and Texas Christian University. Titko holds advanced degrees in choral music and sacred music, bringing a rich musical foundation to his voice instruction. He has studied voice with some of the most respected masters in the field. Currently, he serves as Music Director and Organist at Monumental United Methodist Church in Portsmouth, Virginia, combining his roles as a skilled accompanist and conductor. His teaching philosophy emphasizes preparing students for professional auditions, recitals, competitions, and personal musical development across multiple vocal genres. With roots in sacred music education and choral conducting, Titko brings comprehensive musical knowledge to every lesson, helping students develop healthy vocal technique, artistry, and confidence.
